Chelsea in Bloom 2019 - “Under the Sea”

Chelsea in Bloom’s “Under the Sea” theme has given us some visually stunning flower displays all over London. Here are some of the Play team’s favourites:

“Bold, architectural, disruptive, great use of colour blending from blue to magenta and pink. Textures and colours beg you to approach to get a closer look, smell the flowers and walk under the archway” - Mark Howell, Managing Director

“Chelsea in Bloom is such a huge event, you’ve got to go big and make it something people will remember.” - Channah Mortlock, New Business Manager

“I’m impressed by the difference in scale of these two participants. The Provenance Village Butchers is elegant and visually draws you into the store and the Hackett Floral display cleverly uses the existing structure of the building to wrap elements around for added impact.” - Melryn Gray, Head of Design

“I like greenery across the top of the Hackett display that looks like seaweed! I also like the use of colours, in Harry’s Dolce Vita display, they really emphasise a coral reef’s natural beauty. Great interpretations of the theme.” - Michelle Gasson, Financial Controller

“If you can positively engage with passers-by, you will create a truly memorable experience. Edinburgh Gin and Peter Jones have done this by delivering the perfect selfie opportunity as well as inviting visitors into their seaside hut, to sample a refreshing taste of Edinburgh Gin Seaside.” - Will Mutter, Designer
